SOFT KVM PRIVACY NOTICE
Effective date: July 31, 2026

Soft KVM does not require a user account and does not include advertising.
Personal Free users may optionally share the limited usage statistics described
in section 4. Declining this option does not restrict Personal Free use.

1. Local data

Soft KVM stores settings, pairing identity, trusted peer information, and
license state on the Windows PC where it runs. Private pairing and license-device
keys are protected for the current Windows user. This local data is used to
operate the application.

2. Local network communication

Soft KVM discovers and communicates with another Soft KVM installation on the
local network. Connection discovery, pairing, and encrypted keyboard and mouse
traffic are sent between the PCs selected by the user. SoftKVM does not operate
a relay server for this traffic.

3. Business Pro activation

Business Pro activation sends the entered license key, a license-device public
key and proof, a device identifier derived from that public key, the Windows
device name, and the app version to the Soft KVM licensing service hosted on
Cloudflare. The service stores a keyed hash of the license key and device
identifier. Customer and device labels stored for license administration are
encrypted. The license-device private key never leaves the PC.

An activated app checks its license status on startup no more than once every
24 hours. Network failure alone does not disable a perpetual license.

4. Optional Personal Free usage statistics

The first-run notice offers an unchecked option to share minimal usage
statistics. If enabled, Personal Free sends the following no more than once
every 30 days:

- a random installation identifier generated after consent;
- the app version;
- the app interface language; and
- a two-letter country code determined by Cloudflare from the request.

SoftKVM does not store the request IP address, hardware serial numbers, Windows
user name, computer name, email address, or exact location for this purpose.
The server immediately converts the random installation identifier to a keyed
hash and stores only that hash. Records are deleted after 400 days without a
new report. Country information can be inaccurate when a VPN, proxy, or
corporate network is used.

The option can be changed in the License screen. Turning it off stops future
reports and deletes the local statistics identifier and schedule. The
previously stored pseudonymous server record cannot be linked back to a named
user by SoftKVM and expires under the retention rule.

5. Updates and service providers

When the user checks for updates, Soft KVM contacts the public GitHub API and
GitHub release download service. GitHub and Cloudflare may receive standard
network information, including an IP address, under their own privacy policies.
SoftKVM does not add usage statistics to update requests.

6. Business inquiries and contact

Information voluntarily sent to teamoasis78@gmail.com is used to answer the
inquiry and maintain necessary business records. Do not send passwords, private
keys, pairing secrets, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

두 PC 사이에서 전송됩니다. SoftKVM은 입력 중계 서버를 운영하지 않습니다.

3. Business Pro 활성화

Business Pro 활성화 시 입력한 라이선스 키, 라이선스 장치 공개 키와 서명,
공개 키에서 파생된 장치 식별자, Windows 장치 이름 및 앱 버전을 Cloudflare에
호스팅된 Soft KVM 라이선스 서비스로 전송합니다. 서버는 라이선스 키와 장치
식별자의 키 기반 해시를 저장하며, 관리자용 고객명과 장치명은 암호화하여
저장합니다. 활성화된 앱은 시작 시 24시간에 한 번 이하로 상태를 확인하며,
네트워크 오류만으로 영구 라이선스를 해제하지 않습니다.

4. 선택적 Personal Free 사용 통계

최초 실행 안내창에는 기본적으로 체크되지 않은 최소 통계 공유 항목이
표시됩니다. 사용자가 선택하면 Personal Free는 30일에 한 번 이하로 다음
정보를 전송합니다.

- 동의 후 생성되는 무작위 설치 식별자
- 앱 버전
- 앱 표시 언어
- Cloudflare가 요청에서 판별한 두 글자 국가 코드

SoftKVM은 이 목적으로 IP 주소 원문, 하드웨어 시리얼, Windows 사용자 이름,
컴퓨터 이름, 이메일 또는 정확한 위치를 저장하지 않습니다. 서버는 무작위
설치 식별자를 즉시 키 기반 해시로 변환해 해시만 저장합니다. 마지막 통계
전송 후 400일이 지난 기록은 삭제됩니다. VPN, 프록시 또는 회사 네트워크를
사용하면 국가 정보가 정확하지 않을 수 있습니다.

License 화면에서 언제든 설정을 변경할 수 있습니다. 체크를 해제하면 이후
전송이 중단되고 로컬 통계 식별자와 전송 일정이 삭제됩니다. 서버에 먼저
저장된 가명 기록은 SoftKVM이 특정 사용자 이름과 연결할 수 없으며 보관
기간이 지나면 삭제됩니다.

5. 업데이트와 서비스 제공자

업데이트 확인 시 GitHub API와 릴리스 다운로드 서비스에 연결합니다.
GitHub와 Cloudflare는 각자의 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 IP 주소 등 표준
네트워크 정보를 처리할 수 있습니다. 업데이트 요청에는 사용 통계를
추가하지 않습니다.
